26071 Copilot Studio Technical SME/Senior Developer Lead

Lime Recruitment is currently working with a large Queensland Government client to recruit an experienced Copilot Studio Technical SME/Senior Developer Lead. In this role you will provide specialist technical leadership to establish, scale, and operationalise Microsoft Copilot Studio AI Agent delivery as a core enterprise capability. A fully remote working arrangement is available for interstate applicants.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the "supply side" of Copilot Studio and AI delivery, including defining internal/vendor delivery pathways, reuse models, support arrangements, and business engagement patterns.
- Act as the core SME for design, build, and implementation of agent solutions, utilizing deep expertise in conversation design, prompt engineering, orchestration, and AI-driven solution patterns.
- Advise on guardrails, data access controls, and responsible AI practices. Ensure all solutions strictly align with IS18 / ISMS requirements, data classification standards, and identity/access management controls.
- Assist the Power Platform team in managing AI-specific risks, including data exposure, mitigation of hallucinations, and compliance monitoring.
- Define delivery standards and provide quality oversight on vendor-delivered Copilot Studio solutions to ensure alignment with reference architectures.
- Mentor, coach, and uplift internal team capabilities across Copilot Studio development, prompt engineering, and agent behavior optimization.
About You
- Deep, hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse), Dynamics 365, and Azure AI services (including Microsoft AI Foundry).
- Proven track record transitioning AI solutions from early Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to governed, production-ready enterprise services.
- Robust integration expertise across REST APIs, custom connectors, enterprise systems, alongside solid DevOps and ALM practices for Copilot Studio.
- Prior experience navigating security/compliance frameworks aligned to IS18 / ISMS within a large, complex organization (Queensland Government experience is highly regarded).
- Previous experience in a Technical Lead, Solution Architect, or SME role with a natural ability to coach, mentor, and define vendor-versus-internal support models.
