Program Manager – Optimisation
Contract to 2 August 2027 with possible extension | Brisbane CBD | Hybrid working
We are working with a leading Queensland Government client to recruit an experienced Program Manager - Optimisation.
In this role, you will support the broader program through program design, governance, stakeholder engagement, change management, communications, risk management and benefits realisation.
Key responsibilities
- Establish and manage a Program Management Office (PMO) for the corporate operating model, with clear governance, planning, reporting, resourcing and delivery disciplines.
- Coordinate the iterative implementation of the new corporate operating model, working with the Procurement, Finance, People and Culture Leads and the Technology Program Office.
- Establish and operate program governance structures, decision-making forums and assurance mechanisms.
- Develop and maintain benefit metrics, tracking frameworks and reporting mechanisms, including measures relating to process efficiency, service quality and technology adoption.
- Lead and support change management activities to ensure the successful adoption of new processes, systems and ways of working.
- Partner with People and Culture, Communications and business stakeholders to drive cultural alignment and behavioural change.
What we’re looking for
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale transformation programs within the public sector. Strong understanding of corporate functions, including finance, human resources, ICT, procurement and governance, and their interdependencies.
- Experience integrating business requirements with SAP solutions, including S/4HANA and Ariba, within large government organisations.
- Experience establishing or operating PMOs for complex, multi-year programs.
- Proven capability in change management, cultural transformation and stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge of process optimisation, operating model design and technology-enabled transformation.
