We are working with a leading Queensland Government client to recruit an experienced Principal Project Manager. In this role you will provide expert leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members and stakeholders, and oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Defining the scope and objectives of deliverables to support outcomes aligned to the project plan.
- Providing advice and strategic input to project deliverables, to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with Queensland Health strategies and architecture.

Managing the schedule and plan of deliverables to support the development of key project management, analysis and design activities.

Engaging with key stakeholders and the board to ensure the approach supports project objectives.

Leading engagements across the state, managing risks and adjusting the approach to ensure outcomes can be achieved.

Managing capability and resource development by leading and mentoring multi-disciplinary project team(s).
What we’re looking for?
- Proven experience in the delivery of large-scale complex IM/ICT program/project(s), preferably in the health care industry.
- Proven stakeholder relationship management skills to support effective business change, including the ability to initiate relationships and influence key stakeholders.
- Expertise in, and application of, appropriate project management methodologies (preferably PRINCE2), and an ability to promote and provide advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies, and tools.
- Proven excellent negotiation, consultation, facilitation, and effective written and oral communication skills for use in a complex project environment.
- Proven experience in leading, managing and mentoring an effective multi-disciplinary team.
- Proven analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills and a proven ability to work in a team environment developing
