Major Hazards Assurance and Reporting Advisor
Contract to 31/12/2026 + potential to extend |Brisbane CBD| Hybrid WorkingLime Recruitment is partnering with a leading global mining group to secure a Major Hazards Assurance and Reporting Advisor. In this role you will role support the Closure Legacy Major Hazards reporting, governance and assurance program for all D-standards and relevant external Standards, such as GISTM for Closure sites worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Role will support the governance aspects of Major Hazards facilities including D1, D3, D5 (tailings & water) and GISTM.
- Organise and coordinate the First Line Assurance program including internal reviews and audits, conformance self-assessments and third-party validation audits.
- Integrate the 3LoD framework into the Closure Major Hazards assurance program, including updating documentation and systems.
- Implement processes, tools and visual dashboards for monitoring and reporting of performance against D-Standards and GISTM conformance at Closure sites globally. Ensure dashboards are kept up to date.
- Support any internal and external reporting related to D-standards or external conformance, such as annual compliance certification, annual IMTSI updates.
- Support with development of GISTM disclosure documentation (if required)
- Maintain the Closure Major Hazards Management System (MHMS), including MS Guides, templates, registers and other resources.
- Support the establishment of the Closure Legacy Major Hazards Integrated Knowledge Base system including Sharepoint library structures, metadata and workflows; development of system management and reporting processes including workflows.
What we’re looking for?
- Proven experience working within safety, HSE, or Major Hazard Management Systems (MHMS).
- Strong system coordination skills, with high attention to detail in tracking global role appointments and training compliance.
- Ability to synthesize data and draft clear, concise inputs for executive and committee papers.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across a global matrix environment.
