ICT_Power BI Specialist
Contract to 18/04/2027 | Brisbane City, QLD | working from home
Lime Recruitment is currently working with a large Queensland Government client to recruit an experienced ICT_Power BI Specialist. In this role you will Designs and delivers business intelligence solutions that turn complex project data into reliable insights for governance, performance and executive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, scorecards and analytical products.
- Build robust data models, measures and business logic using Power Query, DAX and SQL.
- Analyse data from multiple sources to identify trends, risks, opportunities and performance insights.
- Produce accurate reporting for executive, governance, program and project control forums.
- Perform data reconciliation, validation and investigations to resolve reporting issues.
- Manage report access, permissions, refresh schedules and security controls, including row-level security.
- Lead stakeholder workshops and requirements gathering to deliver scalable reporting solutions.
- Maintain reporting standards, testing processes, documentation and user guidance while supporting data literacy.
About You
- Demonstrated business intelligence, data analytics, reporting or Power BI development experience in a large or complex organisation.
- Strong hands-on capability in Power BI Desktop, Power Query, DAX, data modelling and data visualisation.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with complex datasets, enterprise data sources or data warehouses.
- Experience delivering BI solutions from requirements gathering and design through to deployment and ongoing support.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, data quality and governance skills.
- Clear stakeholder communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Available full-time through 18 April 2027 and able to complete required screening and onboarding checks.
