Lime Recruitment is currently working with a major Queensland Government department to recruit an experienced Senior Business Analyst. In this role, you will lead comprehensive current-state system assessments, market scans, gap/fit analyses, and stakeholder engagements to define future-state business
processes, operating models, and solution requirements that support vital human services across Queensland.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a comprehensive review and assessment of the current system environment, including functionality, processes, reporting capabilities, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead the capture and development of business and solution requirements, future-state process diagrams, operating models, and capability requirements using recognised BA methodologies.
- Perform market scanning and research to evaluate leading industry solutions, aligning technology options with departmental objectives.
- Perform gap/fit analysis to evaluate ICT solution desirability, alignment with enterprise architecture, and integration with existing departmental systems.
- Manage consultation across a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders, including government departments and non-government sectors.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and participate in project planning sessions, applying Agile project management methodologies.
- Engage with technology vendors during market scan processes to evaluate technical capabilities and conduct functional product analyses.
- Evaluate initiative impacts and organizational change requirements for business process updates, focusing on risk minimisation, business continuity, and cost-effective service delivery.
About You
- Demonstrated ability in developing high-quality reports, business cases, evidence-based options papers, and executive presentations for senior leadership and Program Boards.
- High-level communication, negotiation, and consultation skills, with a strong track record preparing and presenting timely advice.
- Demonstrated project management experience, preferably applying Agile project management methodologies and tools like Azure DevOps across the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with business reform, transformation, or enabling organizational change initiatives within a government service delivery or human services environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 platforms, including complex integrations and solutions handling sensitive personal information.
- Proven capability to work collaboratively across technical, business, and executive stakeholder groups.
